Where does it get warm in December?
In December, we need to know where we can get some heat.
This list compiles the top places to go in December to take in some rays of sunshine and is a great resource if you’re looking for some warm areas to visit during your winter break.
1. Miami, Florida

Miami has warm weather all year, even in December. If you like going out at night, Miami Beach is full of beach parties. But this city in Florida has a lot more to offer than just the beach. If you want to relax, you can check out the street art in Wynwood, learn about Cuban culture in Little Havana, or look at old houses in the Art Deco District. Even in December, there is always something going on in this busy city, just like every other month. You can watch NBA basketball games and NFL football games, for example. Or, if you go on December 31, you can go to the Hard Rock Stadium and watch the Orange Bowl live. Since 1935, this college football semifinal game has been played in Miami. Art Basel, an art show that brings together local galleries, collectors, and art lovers, takes place in December in Miami. The 2021 exhibition will take place from December 2 to 4, and it will show works by more than 4,000 artists, from young artists to masters.
2. Dubai, UAE

In the last few decades, Dubai has grown into an important place for business and tourism around the world. This desert paradise is known for its very modern landmarks, like the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and its luxury districts with award-winning restaurants, mega-malls, and luxurious resorts. One of the best times to visit Dubai is in December. The weather is still warm, but it doesn’t get as hot as it does in the summer. This desert city in the Middle East is a great place to spend Christmas not only because it is hot and dry but also because it is decorated with beautiful Christmas lights and trees everywhere, from mega-malls to skyscraping hotels. During this time of the year, there are also many festivals and events, such as fireworks shows and the Christmas light show on the Burj Khalifa.
3. Madeira, Portugal

Madeira is a Portuguese volcanic island in the North Atlantic. It is 935 kilometres west of Morocco and 500 kilometres north of the Canary Islands. Because of its location, the weather on this island is warm even in December, making it one of the best places to go to get some winter sun. With average highs of 21°C and lots of sunshine, Madeira will be warm enough to walk around in a t-shirt during the day, but you might need some extra layers in the evenings. Even though December is one of the rainier months, there are still plenty of dry days to enjoy your stay on this beautiful island. During the holiday season in the winter, there is a lot going on on the island. If you’re lucky, it might even be warm enough to go to the beach. But if you don’t, you can still see the beautiful Christmas decorations all over the city of Funchal, go to the Christmas market, drink the famous alcoholic drink Poncha, try traditional Christmas sweets, and eat carne vinha d’alhos.
4. Saint-Martin

The island of Saint Martin (also called Sint Maarten in Dutch) is in the northeastern Caribbean Sea. It is approximately 19 kilometres long from north to south and approximately the same length from east to west.The southern part of the island has a long history with the Netherlands and is run by the Netherlands. The northern part of the island is run by France. The island is known for having both busy resort beaches and quiet coves. Its lively nightlife is also a big draw for tourists. December is the dry season on the island. During that month, the days will be warm and sunny, while the evenings and nights will be cool and comfortable. But since December is the busiest month, prices are pretty high, and you might run into a lot of people.
5. Curacao

Curacao is an island in the Caribbean. It, along with Aruba and Bonaire, has a history of being ruled by the Dutch and has West Indian roots. These three islands are the most western of the Leeward Antilles. They are in the South Caribbean, near Venezuela, and are called the “ABC islands.” Curacao is only 12 degrees north of the Equator, so it stays warm all year. But the weather is best from December to April, which is also why hotels and plane tickets are more expensive during that time. There are many things to do and places to see besides finding hidden beaches and swimming in azure waters. The Dutch colonial facades that surround the harbour in Willemstad, the capital of Curacao and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are the most well-known things to see.
