It’s possible that this spot will end up becoming the most sought-after vacation spot of the summer. Google can help you find and book the most popular travel destination for your summer vacation. The search engine looked at the data from Google Flights to find out where people want to go this summer.

For the summer of 2023, from June to August, people are most interested in going to London, Cancun, Paris, Orlando, Rome, and New York City.

Rome, Barcelona, and Dublin are all European cities that made the list of the top 20 most-searched destinations. After Japan reopened in October, Tokyo was also chosen. People looking for domestic summer vacation spots outside of Orlando and New York City are looking at Los Angeles, Seattle, Miami, Chicago, Boston, and San Francisco.

The number of searches for solo travel destinations, solo cruises, and solo travel for women are all on the rise in the United States. Over the past year, searches in the U.S. for “solo travel destinations,” for example, went up by more than 120 percent. Japan, New Orleans, Iceland, Mexico City, and Italy are among the most-searched-for places to travel alone.

And for couples, Jamaica, Bora Bora, Turks and Caicos, the Maldives, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, are the most searched-for romantic places.

Google found that the number of searches about passports is at an all-time high. (The U.S. State Department is currently processing 500,000 passports per week, and the latest estimates say it takes 10 to 13 weeks to process a passport.)
