A Balearic vacation in Ibiza isn’t only about the nightlife: luxurious villas, boutique hotels, crystal-clear seas, and pristine beaches attract a trendy clientele throughout the summer months. There are renowned clubs here and lush hills, less-explored coasts, and coastal eateries. If you grow tired of swimming and sunbathing, the twisting, tiny alleyways of Ibiza Town’s old area are bustling and full of colourful, independent stores.

Everyone thinks of Ibiza as a party island in San Antonio, but this is limited to a tiny and restricted location on the West coast, and if you want to party, this is the place to go. For the rest of us, though, an island full of the most beautiful secret coves awaits. Where should you go to Ibiza? Make a point of visiting Ibiza.

It’s all about Ibiza’s beautiful beaches.

Defoes Lifestyle

Blue Marlin Beach Club in Cala Jondal

Sa Caleta – A short drive from Ibiza town and a popular summer destination.

Cala Salada is a 20-minute drive from San Antoni Agues Blanques Beach, the favourite naturist beach continuing north. Es Portixol is a secluded beach towards the north.

The best things to do in Ibiza are:

For the day, take a ferry to Formentera Island.

Hire a boat for a Cave Cruise, Snorkeling, or SUPing.

Punta Arabi a must visit. The Hippy Market

Trip to Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s oldest neighbourhood and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Clubbers may visit the Ibiza Cathedral San Antoni and the Eden and Es Paradis Clubs.

Santa Eulalia – A Family Resort Town (I didn’t care for it)

Boat tour of Es Vedra Island

Summer Events in Ibiza:

It’s always a good time to go out and party! Pacha is a long-time favourite. Rent an Airbnb Villa in the lovely Ibizan countryside (far more lavish than the insanely pricey and not-so-great hotels!) Then book a Limousine to drive you and your pals out for a night of clubbing. No way – you’re never too old for an Ibiza club night!

Discover Ibiza’s quiet side:

I first went to Ibiza when I was seven years old, which was long ago! With reluctance, I returned several years later to attend a Yoga Detox week – the less said about it, the better! Let’s say I’m not cut out for pretending to do Yoga and meditate with crystals while being given vegetarian juice! Following a few days on the Yoga course, I went AWOL and got in my rental vehicle to tour the island. Ibiza had hardly altered! I’ll be returning since it’s such heaven!

Dalt Vila, Ibiza Old Town

I was surprised because this has not altered since I was a youngster on vacation! The beautiful whitewashed houses, higgledy-piggledy alleys, and narrow lanes are all the same and filled with little eateries, tapas, and pubs.
