Earn up to 3x more Hilton points on stays with upcoming ‘More Nights, More Points’ promo

With spring and summer travel on the way, Hilton Honors members can now register for a new promotion that will let you earn triple points on eligible hotel stays within the Hilton portfolio.

You’ll earn double points on stays of one or two nights and triple points on three nights or more. The promotion will go live on May 2, after the current Points Unlimited promotion ends.

More Nights, More Points promotion

Hilton’s newest promotion awards a minimum of double points on eligible stays to all Hilton Honors members. Stays of two nights or less earn double points, while stays of three nights or more earn triple points.

The promotion will run from May 2 through Sept. 5, 2022, but must register for the promotion first.

All Hilton brands are participating in the promotion, so whether you’re staying at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives, the Hilton Rose Hall or any other eligible Hilton brand, you can watch the rewards stack up faster than normal. There’s also no limit to the number of bonus points you can accrue during the promotion period, though some brands restrict the number of base points earned on a single stay.

As a reminder, ”Double Bonus Points” means you will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base Points earned during a stay. Most (though not all) Hilton brands normally award 10 base points per dollar spent. Doubling that takes it to 20 points per dollar spent. It’s worth noting that extended stay style brands only earn 5 base points per dollar, or 10 with this promotion.

Meanwhile, “Triple Bonus Points” means that for each dollar spent, you will receive a bonus equal to three times the number of base points earned during your stay when staying at least three nights. That should mean a base of 30 points per dollar at many Hilton brands.

And, of course, if you have elite status with Hilton and/or have a Hilton credit card in your wallet, you’ll end up with even more Hilton points for your stays.

As an example, if you’re a top-tier Diamond member with the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card spending three or more nights at a hotel, you could earn triple bonus points through the promo (30 points per dollar) at many brands, an extra 10 points per dollar for being a Diamond member and another 14x points by using the Hilton Aspire card to pay for your stay. That could be 54 Hilton points per eligible dollar spent.

Even if you already have a Hilton stay that falls within the eligible dates, you can earn bonus points during the promotion as long as you register for the promotion prior to checking out the property.

Besides offering bonus points to existing members, Hilton is offering extra points to new Honors members. Anyone who signs up for a new Honors account through Dec. 31, 2022, can earn up to 4,500 bonus points: 1,500 after their first stay and an additional 3,000 after their second stay within six months of joining the program.

New members can also enroll in the More Nights, More Points promotion.

Bottom line

TPG is predicting a “sold-out summer” with a significant travel surge. And Hilton is ready to reward members heading out into the world this spring and summer with more points for their stays.

Thanks to the More Nights, More Points offer, you can earn very high returns for your upcoming Hilton stays, especially if you pair it with any elite status you may have and/or the Hilton cobranded credit cards in your wallet. Registration is required to participate in this promotion, so it’s best to get that out of the way even if you don’t have upcoming stays booked yet.
