What does Stockholm have to offer?
When you get to Stockholm, hopefully after a good night’s sleep on the train, there are many things to do. Walk around Gamla Stan, the old town of the city. The Royal Palace (Kungliga Slottet) and The Royal Chapel are both from the 1200s and are in the baroque style (Storkyrkan).
If you like pomp and circumstance, you can watch the changing of the guards every day and then eat at Den Gyldene Freden, which is Stockholm’s oldest restaurant. The restaurant has been around since 1721 and is known for its traditional Swedish food.
There are museums about everything from ABBA to Nobel Prize winners to modern art.
The Stockholm archipelago is a group of 30,000 small islands, islets, and rocks that are only a few minutes away from the city.
