
In November, soccer fans will flock to Doha, Qatar, for the FIFA World Cup, which will take place from November 20 to December 18, 2022.
After going so far to get to the competition, fans can add more time to their trip and stay longer in the Middle East.
You could go to Saudi Arabia and be one of the first travellers to discover this new tourist hot spot as the most experienced travellers start to hear about it.
If you decide to go, you can explore the capital, Riyadh, which is just a short flight from Doha. You can also visit ancient archaeological sites, lush oases, and seaside villages.
From Riyadh, people can go to the port city of Jeddah, where they can see King Fahd’s Fountain, the Red Sea Mall, the Al Rahma Mosque, and the Jeddah Corniche, among other things.
For a more off-the-beaten-path two-day trip, visitors can go to the eastern part of the kingdom and visit Al Ahsa, one of the largest natural oases in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visitors can go to the limestone hills of Al Qarah, where they can see beautiful views and explore the caves and tunnels cut into the hills.
Guests can also visit the Jawatha Mosque and the Dougha Handmade Pottery Factory.
People can also check out the Souq Al Qaisariya, one of the oldest markets in the kingdom, and the Ibrahim Palace, which is considered a masterpiece of architecture.
Before going home, travellers can spend a day in Riyadh seeing all of the city’s sights, such as Al Masmak Fortress, the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, historic Diriyah, and Souq Al Zal for some last-minute shopping.
